Zookeeping 201

Grades 10-College

Take zookeeping to the next level. This camp is a real-life, hands-on experience at one of the nation's largest zoos. Let Busch Gardens' staff introduce you to the world of animal care; from flying foxes to lowland gorillas and kangaroos. Work alongside expert zookeepers and observe animal behavior training methods and engage in up-close animal encounters. Dive into the marine world for a day at SeaWorld, and hold your hands high as you scream down some of the Southeast's fastest roller coasters at both parks. A true first-hand experience of zookeeping at its finest! (Zookeeping 101 recommended as a pre-requisiste).

Zookeeping 201 is a 6-night long camp which begins at 12:00PM Saturday morning and ends promptly Friday morning at 9:00AM.  Adventure Camps are fully chaperoned resident camps that include the following amenities:

  • Transportation between Busch Gardens and Tampa International Airport (TPA)
  • All meals and snacks
  • Two Adventure Camps T-shirts and a water bottle
  • Housing at our secure, onsite dormitory, Mzinga Lodge
  • Campers looking for an extended zookeeping camp can also enroll in Zookeeping 101 or Zoo Careers

Extend your camper's adventures even further...combine camps! Get the best of both worlds and combine this program with SeaWorld's Career Camp. Transportation is provided between SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.

Or, combine this program with Busch Gardens' Zoo Careers. The additional Friday night between camps is on us.
